He has also logged Pilot in Command time on a number of different aircraft. In the past, Alma Tuck has donated his time to the Nephi, Utah, 2011 rodeo, for which he served as the copilot for a skydiver drop. Alma Tuck also plays the guitar and has been a part of numerous bands over the years. Over the course of his professional life, Alma Tuck has worked at numerous Internet and technology companies. Now a self-employed consultant, he began his career when he founded CaptureQuest, a marketing company that delivered media-rich online advertising. Since that time, he has gone on to work at a host of other companies. This includes City Site Builders, a website design brokerage that he founded in 2007. At this marketing company, Alma Tuck concentrated his energies on acquiring mid-level to high-end websites valued between $20,000 and $250,000. After identifying profitable web business prospects, Alma Tuck’s company would bid and sell them, then broker the sites out to partner web design firms that were in need of more powerful and effective marketing campaigns. During this time, his job included everything from sales and marketing to partner acquisition. Before founding City Site Builders, Alma Tuck served as a Consultant and Senior Developer at CityDeals.com, a gift card marketing company. At CityDeals.com, he carried out an ambitious project to redesign the company’s website with a focus on improving the user experience. To do this, he took advantage of the website’s existing framework and then used a number of different programs to build a user-friendly site that generated notably higher sales. To augment this change, Alma Tuck also revamped the company’s Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP)-based sales site for improved functionality of conversion rate optimization (CRO). Most notably, he completed this project in an extremely brief period of only two months. |
