Senior Managing Director, Ubequity Capital Partners

Upon joining Ubequity Capital Partners, Inc., in June, 2010, Victor Labi immediately set to work improving the company’s resource group revenue. Mr. Labi’s work within his first year of employment as Managing Director led to a 100 percent increase in revenue and earned him a promotion to his current role as Senior Managing Director. In this position, Victor Labi is responsible for managing the firm’s global commodity operations. Mr. Labi supervises the trading of physical commodities such as gold, iron ore, and precious metals. He also deals with fuel commodities, including jet fuel, coal, and liquefied natural gas (LNG) and farming products such as soybeans, cocoa, and rice. Victor Labi established and maintains trading partnerships with commodity trading houses throughout the world as well as with commodity sources in Russia, Brazil, Asia, and the Middle East. His international team provides complete commodity services at every step of the process, from obtaining the products to overseeing logistical aspects such as shipping, banking, and legal issues. While leading the New York operation for Ubequity, Victor Labi took on the challenge of establishing and developing its commodities division, a new venture for the company. Mr. Labi and his associates are currently working to expand this division with an eye toward acquiring mines and fields that actively produce minerals and oil, respectively. Outside of work, Mr. Labi is involved in charitable organizations, especially those that serve the Jewish community. He is fluent in both English and Hebrew, and enjoys spending time with his two children, traveling, and participating in sports such as skiing, golf, cycling, and tennis.
