Dave Trombka Associate Dean School of Technology Davenport University Professional Profile Dave Trombka is the Associate Dean in the School of Technology at Davenport University. He is responsible for all Computer Information Services, Networking, Information and Network Security, program development and delivery. Prior to joining DU in June, 2006, Dave was the Global Program Manager of IBM's Deep Blue Consulting program and IBM's Project Management Certification program. He has been a strategic information technology consultant for Volkswagen of America and a regional project manager for Ameritech (now the "new" AT&T.) Dave received his MBA Magna cum Laude from Baker College and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration/Business Education from Wayne State University. Dave has over 35 years of diversified experience in information technology, operational management, program and project management, and customer service areas. He said his strengths and career passions have focused on enabling people to maximize their potential through learning, process improvement and the use of technology for business improvement. His responsibilities have included program growth across IBM's various lines of business, deigning curriculum, scheduling and coordination of faculty, courses, facilities, management of e-learning pre-requisites and classroom delivery for IBM's professional certification programs. He also has led the design and delivery of more than 25 global workshops. Dave also is the volunteer director of the Community Service Teams for the Detroit/Pontiac Metro Area, which serves the homeless, elderly, handicapped and disenfranchised. He is a founding member of the Board of Directors for the Gary Burnstein Health Clinic in Pontiac, Mich., providing free medical and dental services for the uninsured. Dave has a love of the natural outdoors. He and his bride of 34+ years enjoy a love of camping and hiking - though he respects his brides view of 'rugged' is a camper with heater, A/C and basic facilities; none of that 'ground' stuff'. In addition, Dave enjoys hunting - large and small game, fishing, and horseback riding.
