Eric Pomerantz

Eric Pomerantz joined Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. as a Financial Advisor in its Austin, TX office in November 2010. He provides objective advice on a broad range of traditional and nontraditional products and services to high-net-worth individuals, businesses and institutions. Much of his practice focuses on assisting clients to preserve and grow their wealth. He derives great satisfaction from assisting them to reach their investment goals and benefit from their prudent choices. He joined Oppenheimer from RiverStone Wealth Management. Prior to that, he had served as a financial advisor to individuals and local businesses at Merrill Lynch’s Austin branch. After graduating in 1989 from the University of Michigan with a B.B.A. in finance, Eric began his career as a market maker in commodity and equity options as a member of the COMEX and American Stock Exchange. After leaving the exchange floor, he moved on to advise hedge funds in event-driven investments and equity derivatives. Eric has been recognized in 2009 and 2010 as a “Five Star: Best in Client Satisfaction Wealth Manager” by his peers and the readers of Texas Monthly magazine. When he is not in the office, Eric spends time with his wife and their two daughters. He enjoys running with his dog, eating barbeque, and watching college football. Eric is active in Austin’s Jewish community. He is a member of Congregation Agudas Achim, on the social networking committee of Blue Knot and a frequent speaker for the Austin Jewish Business Network. He is also a member of the Ross Business School of Michigan Alumni Association.
