Ashwin Nair

PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the joint program in Bioengineering offered by the University of Texas at Arlington and the University of Texas - Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. Expertise in stem cell based in vivo regenerative tissue engineering and biomaterial tissue interactions. With eleven journal and conference publication (seven as first author), I have worked on and led studies on biomaterial biocompatibility, micro-/ nano-particle and scaffold fabrication, stem cell based tissue regeneration and quantum dots for tumor detection. Honors and Awards: One among 15 students selected from the University of Texas at Arlington to the national Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges, 2010 Provost's Award for best poster presentation at the Annual Celebration of Excellence by Students (ACES), University of Texas-Arlington, 2010 President's Award for best oral presentation at the Annual Celebration of Excellence by Students (ACES), University of Texas-Arlington, 2009 Alfred and Janet Potvin Award for Excellence in Biomedical Engineering, University of Texas-Arlington, 2009 Phi Kappa Phi - Science Honors Society, University of Texas-Arlington, 2007
