Darren came to the Financial Services sector at the turn of the century from a background in IT and sales and has since then been involved in the creation of insurance products, the wholesale distribution of various financial instruments, the creation of IT platforms for the benefit of financial intermediaries and consumers, and retail sales propositions both face-to-face and call-centre based. Most recently Darren runs The Money Helper, a business which provides a variety of 'money saving' solutions to businesses and individual clients, including: General Cost Reductions - Creating significant and permanent cost reductions for businesses and individuals on ongoing everyday expenses including Telecoms (fixed and mobile Telephony & Broadband), Utilities (Gas & Electricity) and Insurances (Household, Commercial, Life, Health etc) SDLT Planning - Mitigating the Stamp Duty Land Tax liabilities for purchasers of land & property in England & Wales Capital Allowance Claims - Working with commercial property owners and leaseholders (and their accountants), preparing a high level review and report which can be used to reclaim significant sums from HMRC using unclaimed Capital Allowances. Estate Planning - Ensuring that clients' assets are protected during and after their lifetime from a wide range of risks through effective use of wills, trusts and powers of attorney.
