Rinus Vader MFM CFM (1959) is Leading Professional and strategic advisor at DHV Group (4.500 fte). Vader is an expert with over 28 years of experience with a focus on Real Estate and Facility Management Strategy. At DHV Real Estate Services he developed new approaches on reuse of existing real estate assets and transformation of vacant property, briefing for sustainable and durable corporate housing, by perspective of future use by landlords, investors, tenants and local authorities. In earlier days he shaped the FM organisation for Dutch Rail. www.dhv.com. He studied Civil and Construction Engineering, Business Economics, RE and FM and joined an International Executive Program at INSEAD. Since 2001 Vader is Chairman of the Board of The Facility Cost Index Collaboration, www.nfcindex.nl, a leading index and benchmark for FM industry; visiting professor at The Hague University and Rotterdam School of Management (Erasmus University), member of the European Working Group for Taxonomy for FM, EN 15221-4 and the Working Group for Benchmarking Facility Management, EN 15221-7. He published a lot of articles and the book ‘Leadership in Service, Strategy development for and by the facility services role, focused on the organisation’s interests’ (2005).
