Business Consultant, AspenTech

I am a business consultant at Aspentech specialised in Process Simulation and Optimisation. In my job I communicate with the sales people, prospective customers and customers to show the value of Aspentech's modelling solutions. Communications range from PowerPoint only to detailed explanation of the functionality and use of the software. Post sales activities frequently include support on customer initial projects or support on problems that could not be solved by the regular support team. • Dynamic modelling highlights - First use of HYSYS Dynamics for a North Sea platform, Genesis Oil&Gas - Subsea separation facilities, Pazflor Project, Angola - Multiphase booster compressor for oil wells • Demonstrate feasibility of using dynamic modelling to set up and tune an APC like DMC+. • Training of Aspentech internal Services teams • Development the HYSYS CCC surge controller extension and various other extensions for steady state and dynamic simulation • Introduce HYSYS best practices at Linde AG, Germany for simulating ethylene plants. I live in Belgium, flemish speaking part. I am travelling a lot for my job, so I get to see interesting places, but quite often from the window of the plane or from the window of an office. When I have some time off I go running and cycling to keep fit and sometimes combine this with a bit of geocaching (see http://www.geocaching.com).
