James PageSenior Pastor, Adoram Baptist Church The Reverend Dr. James D. Page is a native of Siler City, N.C. and was educated in the Public schools there. He did undergraduate work at Kitrell College in Kitrell, N.C. and At the University of New Orleans, New Orleans, Louisiana. He received his Bachelor of Theology at Shaw University, Raleigh, N.C. and then attended Union Baptist Theological Seminary in New Orleans, LA where he received his Masters of Theology. He received his Doctor of Ministry degree from Slidell Baptist Theological Seminary, Slidell, LA. Pastor Page answered the call to the ministry at the age of twenty and started his first ministry at the First Baptist Church of Siler City, NC. He is presently the pastor of Adoram Baptist Church, Wallace, NC coming there in 1996 after having served as Associate Pastor of Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church in LA and as pastor of Greater St. Peter Baptist Church in LA. Rev. Page is married to the former Genell Sanders and they are parents to two daughters, LaShannon, a senior at Campbell University, Buies Creek, NC, and Tateisha, is a senior at Wallace Rose Hill High School, Teachey, NC. Rev. Page believes the call to the ministry is a call to build the beloved community on earth as a forerunner to the Kingdom of God. The anointing to the gospel ministry is a call to community service. Since becoming pastor of Adoram he has revitalized the Bible Study and focused the church on the development of ministry to the community. A food bank and clothing bank were developed. He previously served on the Advisory Board at Wallace Rose Hill High School, and at Habitat for Humanity, He was formerly part of a radio ministry entitled "Pastor's Talk", along with Dr. Kevin Allen and Dr. Arthur Kornegay. Presently he is on the Advisory Board of Duplin County Educational Foundation, Rockfish Meadows Camp and Conference Center and Duplin Christian Outreach Ministry. He is the founder of Operation Clean Street, a ministry in the Duplin County School Systems. Mrs. Page works along with him on this ministry. His church ministries include the Golfers for Christ, Adoram Chess Club, Couples Bible Class and working toward outings for our men and women monthly. Reaching people through the church's outreach ministry is very important to Rev. Page. His motto is " one service at Adoram Baptist Church and your life will never be the same". He believes that the time has come for all of God's people to stand together to Work to win souls in Duplin County, the surrounding counties, and the world.
