Hi, I am an Indian settled in Switzerland with my husband, Chris and young baby Neil. I have been in Switzerland since 2001 and came to Zurich directly from New Delhi. I spent my first couple of years in this country,getting to know the culture, language learning and taking time to settle into the new life. After a couple of years I opened my own business, Gauri the Boutique in Zurich and have been running a successful business since 2003. In September 2006, we moved to our own home in Oberweningen, a little town 30 minutes outside of Zurich. It is a beautiful little house in the countryside and here, we welcomed our little son, Neil in April 2007. We gave up the store in Zurich at about the same time as our lease ran out and due to the move, we decided not to renew it. We found out a little while later that our little twosome was about to become a threesome soon, so priorities changed. Life has not been the same ever since and busy enough to keep me busy with my son and family the last year. We do hope to renew old and form new connections with our family and friends in the coming year.
