I was educated in a boarding military school- Sainik School , Amaravathinagar and secured admissions to prestigious medical and engineering colleges.However, chose to join the Military Academy,NDA, Pune in 1977 to join the Indian Navy. During my naval career from 1980 to 2003. I won the Sword of Honour,commissioned three new new ships, commanded three ships and was awarded the Chief of the Naval Staff Commendation Gold medal and the Commander -in-Chief Commendation Silver Medal for my dedication to duty.Ashore ,I served as the Chief Instructor at the Navigation School , Officer -in-Charge of the Maritime Operations Centre and Staff Officer to the Commandant ,NDA,Pune. Presently I am Senior Training Consultant to the Republic of Singapore Navy on Navigation
