Monica WilliamsBranch Manager, AmeriNet Mortgage Known as a “miracle worker” to many clients, Monica Williams is a seasoned mortgage professional, committed to providing clients with long-term and short-term mortgage planning, and guiding them into informed decisions for their mortgage transactions. A native of Dallas, Texas, Monica Williams began her financial career right out of college when she went to work as a Gas Accountant for Exxon Mobil Corporation. While working at Exxon Mobil Corporation, Ms. Williams began working part-time as an independent Loan Officer for a small minority-owned mortgage firm; at which time she realized her calling. Helping people. In 2001, after working with that firm for only one year and still working for Exxon Mobil Corporation, Ms. Williams decided to spread her entrepreneurial wings. She resigned her full-time position with Exxon Mobil Corporation; and she and husband, Byron, opened their own mortgage company, Courtland Home Loans. As President and CEO of Courtland Home Loans, Ms. Williams was responsible for Recruiting, Managing and Training several loan officers and processors, while also managing day-to-day operations. And, while Ms. Williams loved being an entrepreneur, after 5 successful years operating her own business, she decided she wanted to devote more time to her young sons, then ages 5 & 10, and subsequently closed her Mesquite office and moved her business home; where she continues to work with a Mortgage Banker as a Branch Manager. Ms. Williams’ personal code of integrity and a business philosophy of “giving” are woven throughout her day-to-day operations in her mortgage business. And, while Ms. Williams loves to help customers achieve their dreams of home ownership, she believes that helping people, particularly single-moms, is not just her job, it’s her life “Ministry.” She is also very excited about moving into another role, which is serving the community as that of a YWCA Young Leaders Board Member. Ms. Williams’ graduated in 1995 from the University of North Texas, with a BAAS degree in Communication Studies. |
