Nicole Garton-JonesLawyer & Mediator, Heritage Law Nicole Garton-Jones is the principal of Heritage Law and practices in the areas of family law, wills and estates and mediation. Nicole Garton-Jones and the lawyers of Heritage Law focus on helping clients protect their families, their assets and their legacies. Nicole received a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of British Columbia and was called to the Bar of British Columbia in 2001. She is a member of the Family Law and Wills and Estates sections of the Canadian Bar Association, the Estate Planning Council of BC, Collaborative Divorce Vancouver and is a student member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. Trained in mediation, collaborative law and conflict resolution, Nicole has received conflict resolution training at UBC Law School, Continuing Legal Education of BC, the Justice Institute of BC and the Family Mediation Practicum Project. Nicole is currently completing the Mediation/Third-Party Intervention Certificate specialization at the Justice Institute of BC. Nicole runs a high tech, paperless and automated law office and has been featured in the media and as a presenter on the use of technology in the delivery of legal services. Nicole has been a guest instructor on Law Office Management for the Law Society of BC Professional Legal Training Course. Nicole is a graduate of Leadership Vancouver and the Womens' Campaign School and is on the board of a number of non-profit organizations in the community. |
