I am a member of the Institute of Acoustics of both the UK and USA and have been employed in the noise control industry since 1965 when I joined a company called Absorbit who had offices in Vauxhall Bridge Rd ,London , when they were absorbed into the Cementation Mufflelite organisation I joined Sound Attenuators Ltd of Colchester as a London Technical Sales engineer. Promotions followed until I was appointed M.E Sales manager working out of Kuwait. Moved to Dubai and started my own Acoustics company called Gulfacoustics in 1976, followed by another company , in Abu Dhabi and Fujairah this time called Architectural Acoustics Gulf in 1982 and a consultancy company in 1995 called TCG Acoustics. All of these companies are still operating successfully with good turnover and profitability even during this recessionary period.
