Richard

For more than 10 years, I have been a pioneer in music or sonic branding. Fortune 500 and major media companies have asked me to help tell their brand’s stories through music. I have spoken at The Future Of Music Conference (Washington, DC), MIDEM (Cannes, France), NYU’s Music Business Program and more. My career began in the 1990’s at ad giant EURO-RSCG (NYC) where I was involved in music initiatives for Intel, NASDAQ and Volvo. From there, I led DeWolfe Music’s (NYC) music branding business to impressive new levels. At sonic branding agency, Rumblefish (Portland, OR), I was instrumental in guiding music campaigns for Adidas, Mad Men (AMC), Kaiser Permanente and more. Since 2008, I have worked for clients such as ABC Network, Pinkberry, The Standard Hotel Group, Intermix and more as a founding member of The Playlist Generation. I also have an artist’s perspective as both the principal mind behind Burnside Project (our 2004 hit, “Cue The Pulse To Begin” was a Top 40 hit Internationally) and the celebrated remixer Pocket (Radiohead, Beck, Of Montreal and more.) I also have a long history of creating music for brands; my music has been heard as the theme for Showtime’s “Queer As Folk”, the backgrounds of TV shows on ABC, NBC, MTV and VH-1 and as commercial soundtracks for Volvo, MCI, NASDAQ and more.
