Frank Shroyer and his wife Glenda (Sutherland) of 44 years, have three children of their own along with two adopted children. They are also blessed with ten grandchildren with another on her way in October.
The year after High School, Frank graduated from Gale Institute in Minneapolis, MN, with a Certificate in Mechanical Drafting. He then joined the United States Air Force in October 1961.
While in the United States Air Force, Frank completed the Community College of the Air Force with an Associate of Applied Science Instructor in Technology degree. Graduated from Wayland Baptist University while assigned & living in Wichita Falls, Texas, earning Bachelor of Science degrees in Occupational Education and Computer Sciences.
Throughout his military career in the Air Force, Frank lived in several states including Alaska, Texas (4x), Colorado (2x), Virginia, Maryland, Alabama, Florida, Nebraska & Wyoming; served one year in Vietnam; and in Stuttgart and Frankfurt, West Germany for a total of six years.
He retired from the Air Force with the career rank as (E-9), Chief Master Sergeant serving as Senior Enlisted Advisor at the U.S. Space Command Headquarters, Colorado Springs, CO, after 28 years of active military service. After retiring, his family moved to Cleveland, TN, which has remained their home.
Frank has been an ordained Deacon since August 1971. He is a member of Peerless Road Church of God of Prophecy, a sanctuary choir member. He served as the Chairman of the Peerless Road Properties/Building Committee during a major 28,000 sq. ft. expansion project. Is presently serving as a member on the Church Finance & Administrative Committee.
He is also an active Gideon's International Member, a qualified church speaker, and presently serves as the President of the Gideon's Cleveland North Camp for the third time. Also is serving as President of the local AARP Chapter 3412.
He has been on the Lee University Staff as the Circulation Department Manager of the Squires Library since August 1999, supervising 25 University personnel, manages computerized materials, circulation and patron records, Faculty Reserves collection, along with various other duties.
