Simon Whitehouse

Simon is the Managing Director of SGW Security Consulting and is a Certified Protection Professional (CPP), by examination, working exclusively in the field of independent security consulting, associated with electronic, manpower and physical security. Simon is an elected director of the Association of Security Consultants (ASC). He is currently a member of the ASIS Chapter 208 professional development committee (PDC) and is a practising associate of the Academy of Experts, occasionally serving the legal profession on security related matters. He has recently been enrolled as a member of The Security Institute. For 23 years, between 1985 and present day, Simon’s professional career has been solely focused on the security industry. Simon has been an independent security consultant since July 2003. Prior to 2003, he held various directorships and senior positions with security systems and technology integrators. Simon's project experience includes a significant number of city centre CCTV schemes, perimeter intruder detection systems (PIDS) at government installations, security systems within major hospital developments, and automatic number-plate recognition (ANPR) at major UK shopping centres, motorways and corporate sites.
