Toni Koch is a native of Phoenix, AZ who began her music career learning classical piano as well as guitar while still in grade school. She was voted "Most Talented" by her peers at Gerard High School and awarded the Optimist Award for the Arts in 1971 for her artistic abilities. During her 30 year career as an advocate for the arts, Toni has worked for the major labels as a street team pioneer hired by Evening Star Productions, SFX and Clear Channel Entertainment breaking out artists who have since gone on to much fame and fortune including John Mayer, Madonna (1st U.S. tour), Bonnie Raitt, Pat Benatar, The Hooters, Gloria Estaban & Miami Sound Machine, KD Lang, Melissa Etheridge and Tina Turner (Private Dancer Tour) plus bands that have charted or gone on to become touring favorites too numerous to mention. During 1985-1986 Toni was awarded a Platinum Record for promotion of the Hooters album "Nervous Night" by Columbia Records and selected Indie Promoter of the Year by Soundboard Magazine. In the '90's Toni worked for Tower Records as a buyer which led her to move out on her own and create TK Promo, focusing on indie artists in search of exposure. For ten years Toni assisted in booking touring artists by finding them gigs when no one else would take a chance. While in Los Angeles (moving here in 2003) Toni has worked projects for Walt Disney Company, Mattel, Electronic Arts and KABC/KLOS radio as an executive assistant to the President/General Manager John H. Davison until deciding to make TK Promo a full-time business in 2008. Currently, Toni produces and books "TK Promo Presents" events around Los Angeles and other cities as well as national tours for indie artists on all levels. Toni is available for career consultation having worked in most facets of the music industry, including commercial radio. She has a stellar reputation for "paying it forward" in support of indie talent worldwide. Currently, Toni is travelling often and developing Pitch-A-Song (TM), www.myspace.com/pitchasong, a new way to "pitch" your music or ideas to those in the positions to really make something happen.
