Associate Director, Corporate & Foundation Relations, UC San Diego

Carol Hobson has worked in cultural planning and program management for over 25 years. She has curated and produced exhibitions and festivals throughout the west coast and with international partners. Her professional experience includes the successful cultivation and implementation of new initiatives that bridge the arts, humanities and sciences. While with the University of California, Hobson has worked with the UCLA Art|Science Center and the Art|Global Health Center; the UCSD Center for Research in Computing and the Arts; and the UC Digital Arts Research Network, a consortium involving eight UC campuses. Currently she is the Assistant Director of Development, Regional Program at UC San Diego, serving as the central contact and liaison for various development and external relations offices. In this role she assists in the planning and executing of special fundraising events to expand UCSD outreach and gift support in targeted regions.
