Professional Summary
I have been teaching high school for eighteen years now and currently teach 9th and 11th grade English in Troy, Alabama. I am also leading workshops for teachers on the power of our words and creating a positive learning environment in our classrooms.
Over the last three years, I have felt a calling for Christian writing. I completed the Jerry B. Jenkins Christian Writers Guild Journeyman program and am writing a New Teachers Guide for teaching aimed at Christian teachers who want to make a difference in the Kingdom through the students they teach. Much of this book is based on my own experience and failings as well as the tremendous revelation God gave me this year about releasing the Spirit daily by giving my students encouraging words that will impact their lives.
I am also working on a series of children's books that go beyond "Jesus loves me" to deeper spiritual trughts that will extend the revival to succeeding generations. As children read about characters who pray for people to be healed or give a prophetic word on an airplane, they and their parents will be challenged to take the complete gospel of the Kingdom to our world.
