From July to December 2008, I have had the esteem privilege of internting for Disney Interactive Studios’ Think Tank Program. During this time, I was able to have a strong influence on the initial creations for new and upcoming video games. As a designer, I took on the roles of creating Design Concept Documents, Initial Features Documents and Game Proposal Presentations. While, interning at the company, I was able to understand the vast roles of game designer, producers, marketing and other cogs that make the publisher wheel turn at Disney Interactive Studios.

During my time at Option Six I worked on a variety of immersive media driven interactives that focused on the training and education of specific cooperate initiatives. My main tasks were to create animations, interactive quizzes and graphics for the purpose of e-learning. Working under tight deadlines and a small team taught me the valuable lessons of receiving valuable feedback from team members and designing media objects to a specific clients needs. Clients included, Microsoft, Eli Lilly and Toyota.

As an employee of Author House, I created the inside designs for novels, biographies, photography books, and children books. Daily tasks included, but not limited to, meeting deadlines, revising corrections and designs and discussing initial ideas and layouts with the authors themselves. Author House taught me the importance of maintaining deadlines, working with teams to manage important dates and schedules and designing layouts to a clients specific needs.
