Born 1957, Andreas Gruenberg studied German Literature, Politics and History. After finishing his studies successfully he worked as an executive for several companies. Since 1994 he as a side line also started to work as a creative consultant (e.g. on the prize-winning “Paul IV.”, 1994) and to work as free lance reader and developer for German TV-station Sat.1, International Co-Production department (Doris Kirch). He then started to write, with several scripts sold and produced (e.g. “Zeit des Schweigens”, 1996). 1997 he launched his own company, Grünberg Film GmbH (Development – Management – Production), he wrote and co-produced “Two in a Boat” (1998/99), which premiered on the International Film Festival in Berlin 1999 in the Children’s film competition and was invited to many other international festivals, had a theatrical release in Germany and was on air on German TV many times.
