Seth WeathersPresident, Weathers Corporation Seth Weathers is an entrepreneur best known for founding Weathers Corporation, the parent company of Weathers Design, Weathers Studios, and Gwinnett Broadcasting Company. The company established its roots in the basement of Seth’s parents’ home, where he began designing and developing websites at the age of sixteen. Two years later, at the age of eighteen, he dedicated his life to transforming his start-up web business into a nationally recognized new media firm. Today, Weathers Corporation serves over 300 active clients and averages sixty new clients each year. As a self-taught business owner and internet/social media guru, Seth derives much of his business philosophy from the writings of Ayn Rand, and his passion to continually push to the forefront of online marketing and media. His initial clients came from his civic engagement with political leaders and business owners within the local community, where he recognized an unmet need for easy web solutions that would allow them to remain focused on what they do best. Over the past nine years of its existence, Weathers Corporation has grown to serve industry leading customers such as Coca-Cola, Microsoft, Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), Hyundai, Gwinnett Medical Center, Georgia Gwinnett College, as well as clients in the entertainment industry, such as acclaimed motion picture director David Zuckerman’s movie, An American Carol. Although the company has grown to encompass a nationwide and international client base, Seth continues to lead the advancement of new media within his hometown of Gwinnett, where he has operated his business for the past seven years. On March 17th 2009, Seth launched Gwinnett Broadcasting Company (GBC) and introduced Gwinnett County to a new way of receiving local news and entertainment. GBC is the only dedicated news and entertainment source serving the 800,000 residences of the county. The site is lead by an advisory board comprised of community leaders to help steer the direction of the network and ensure its news coverage and programs serve all sectors of the county. GBC offers nightly news, community specials, as well as the flagship original program, Gwinnett’s Most Wanted. Today, GBC has over 40,000 subscribers, and Seth continues to build on the site’s success through leveraging social media tools such as Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube. Seth continues to grow Weathers Corporation and push the limits of online social media: plans for company expansion are always in the works. Seth was recently named a Finalist in the 2010 Atlanta Power 30 under 30. Seth resides in Buford, Georgia with his wife Esther and spends his very little free time traveling, reading and driving his restored ‘74 Corvette Stingray convertible.
