I've been in media and communications since 1984, when I deejayed at my college radio station and was stolen away by the program director of the very cool FM free-form album station in Iowa City. I moved out of radio in 1995 and into the newspaper business (namely, Shepherd Express, Milwaukee's weekly paper), and eventually into corporate and marketing communications, always keeping my hand in writing by contributing to music journals and alternative weeklies around the country. I'm a writer, editor and business owner. With my partners, Mehrdad Dalamie and Tom Strini, I co-publish ThirdCoast Digest, which is the descendant of VITAL Source Magazine. Thanks to the incredible efforts of Culture Desk Editor Tom Strini and our whole editorial staff, TCD provides excellent daily coverage of local and regional arts, culture, lifestyle and community.
