Mike Underwood

Represents securities broker-dealers, investment advisers, financial institutions and affiliated individuals in civil litigation, arbitration, regulatory investigations and enforcement actions. Experience includes defense of class actions, multi-district litigation and regular appearances before self-regulatory organizations like FINRA (formerly NASD) and the New York Stock Exchange as well as state and federal financial regulators. I went to undergraduate school at USF in Tampa and SUNY at Buffalo and graduated with a degree in philosophy after which I went to law school at UT in Knoxville. I'm married to the wonderful Zilpha Philip Underwood, the features editor at the Tallahassee Democrat. I represent businesses before Florida state government. We have no kids, but a dog & cat. We travel as much as we can, somtimes with a packback or canoe, sometimes in Europe.
