Victoria Gloster

Owner, Gloster Global

As an entrepreneur with arts and academic background, as well as fashion merchandising experience, I work in all facets of product development, marketing and promotion, including design, branding, copy writing, video editing, and now web management too. My academic background is in Visual Arts, Art History, Women's, Cultural and Performance Studies. I grew up in Washington, DC, where my mother's work in the Civil Rights Movement fostered my own commitment to social justice and civil society, sustainable economic and environmental development and fair trade, among other related ideals. Those ideals have also been central to Gloster Global and its development. I studied dance in NYC, and later returned to school to study art and romance languages at the University of Arkansas, then continued that study combined with socio/political interests at Duke where I won a number of scholarships and academic honors. Graduating Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa, I was awarded a Javits Fellowship for graduate study. Through emphasis on developing art-based products for fair-trade business, running Gloster Global affords me a unique opportunity to combine my expertise and experience in business, art and design with my broader social concerns.
