I graduated from Kenyon College in 1990 with a BA in Chemistry. I was a bench chemist at Rockefeller University for 6+ years and then made the jump to IT after getting an additional degree from Columbia University.

For the past 14 years I've been in pharmaceuticals and medical devices industry. I have been an individual contributor and also led small and large groups developing strategy, building innovation programs, building products, and delivering line of business systems. I've spent a considerable amount of time on technology research, strategy, and innovation. I have deep experience with developing software architectures, programming in C++, Java, J2ME, programming with a myriad of web languages, and building high-performance computing platforms/applicaitons.

My core interests center on life science applications of technology: object oriented designs, high-performance computing, mobile-wireless solutions, and in the more general space of open-source systems. My main passion is delivery of products to improve the health and wellness of people.
