Henk de Boer is the manager of the Ede Office of Nederlandsch Octrooibureau. Henk is Dutch and European patent attorney and his field of technical expertise includes organic chemistry, polymer
chemistry, medicinal chemistry, catalysis and chemical technology. Foreign chemical and pharmaceutical enterprises as well as oil companies make often use of Henk’s expertise. Henk is also an IP-consultant for national chemical and pharmaceutical companies, universities and start-ups. Henk has extensive experience in drafting and prosecuting complex patent applications. He is also frequently engaged in patent litigation, in particular with regard to pharmaceutical patents. Henk is a member of the Royal Dutch Chemical Society.

Henk joined Nederlandsch Octrooibureau in 1995. Henk was a Research Scientist from 1988 to 1995 at Shell Research - Amsterdam (NL) en Sittingbourne (UK) – where he was engaged in research projects related to lubricating oil and fuel additives, polymers, catalysis and oil conversion processes. Henk has a Ms.C. in Organic Chemistry and Medicinal Chemistry (1984) and a Ph.D. in Organometallic Chemistry (Free University, Amsterdam, 1988).
