Serve as an Assistant General Counsel with primary legislative counsel duties for the largest federal employee union representing approximately 600,000 federal and DC city employees spread among various agencies including the Department of Homeland Security, Department of Defense, the Veterans Administration, HUD, EPA, Social Security Administration, Federal Bureau of Prisons, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, among other agencies.

Served as General Counsel and Legislative Director for the Maryland State Chapter of the American Federation of Teachers, AFL-CIO. Represented in this capacity for the AFT Md, Baltimore City Teachers Union, Baltimore County Federation of Public Employees, Baltimore County Federation of Public Health Nurses, Maryland Professional Employees Council, Montgomery County Federation of Teachers, Maryland Federation of Nurses and Health Care Professionals, and the City Union of Baltimore as well as other organizing units as assigned

Served as an Assistant State's Attorney for Baltimore City for about 10 years primarily in both District and Circuit court. Handled an estimated 20,000 District Court matters and 2,000 Circuit Court matters. Cases included traffic matters, violations of probation, thefts under and over $300, domestic violence, assault and battery, drug possession, felony drug distribution, vice crimes, illegal gambling, illegal weapons violations, homicide, nusiance/quality of life crimes, among other associated criminal violations.

Worked as a summer law clerk in the General Counsel's Office, Division of Advice, researching novel labor law issues submited by the Regional Attorneys of the NLRB.

Served as a summer law clerk in the General Counsel's Office working on contract negotiations between the NALC and a coalition of other postal unions and the United States Postal Service. Also reviewed arbitrations for potential legal errors and handled other legal research as assigned by the General Counsel.

Conducted primary research on campaign funding for several studies regarding campaign finance for the Democratic Study Group of the United States Congress on a part time basis.

Was employed by Montgomery County Government, Department of Health, as a video game license inspector. Conducted investigations into various commercial establishments to insure compliance with Montgomery County's licensing regualtions and laws. Issued citations to establishments that failed to comply and report on overall compliance by commercial businesses within the jurisdiction.

Worked on labor organizing drives for the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees Council 67 in Baltimore, Maryland. Our primary campaign was in Montgomery County, Maryland with county employees both white collar and blue collar.

Worked part-time as the Executive Director of Baltimore Chapter of Americans for Democratic Action (ADA). Performed legislative, politcal, and educational duties at the direction of the Board of Directors. Held several fundraiser and issue forums for the membership on national, state, and local issues. Represented the organization in multiple coalitions. Performed administrative tasks as needed.

Served as the Maryland Director of the American Federation of Labor-Congress of Industrial Organizations' (AFL-CIO) youth outreach program called Frontlash. The organization conducted non-partisan voter registration programs and voter education programs as well as labor history education. Served as a liason to youth and student organizations for labor unions and educated union leaders on the concerns of youth, student, and young trade unionist concerns. Assisted with boycotts, strikes, and other labor campaigns for all of the public and private sector unions afflaited with the AFL-CIO. Participated in numerous coalitions of environmental, student, community, and employee organizations on behalf of working people.
