I've work as a narrator and voice actor in Tokyo, Japan since 1996 and have done literally thousands of recordings. I specialize in corporate videos of a technical nature, as well as character work for radio and video games, and documentary narration.
In the US you can hear me on some cable channels as the narrator for K-1 Martial Arts twice-a-month promotional program "K-1 Battlescramble". Yes, that is me sounding like an over-the-top ringside announcer. But it's definitely what the subject matter calls for.
In Japan you can hear me on the elevator to the Special Observatory of Tokyo Tower, or on the train platforms of JR West in Osaka, announcing the outbound trains. That's a fun voice to spring on Osakan's, who hear it every day. An Osakan we were diving with in Saipan in January made me announce some train departures into his cell phone's camera! It never occurs to people that there is an actual person behind those every day voices...
