My wife Linda and I are missionaries with The JESUS Film Project (JFP) a ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ.
The JESUS Film
How many movies have you seen lately that profoundly affected you? How many movies do you know of that have the potential to alter the course of a viewer's life? The JESUS film is such a movie. God has repeatedly used this presentation of the life of Christ to literally change lives around the world. The JESUS film is recognized as the most accurate depiction of the life of Jesus Christ ever put on film.
The mission of this film is to give everyone in the world in his or her own language, the opportunity to hear the saving truth of Jesus Christ! All of the action and virtually all of the words spoken by the actors were taken directly from the Gospel according to Luke. Produced in 1979, the film is a tool; now in various media formats that reaches rural and urban communities, as well as multi-generations and those that cannot read.
In 2008 JFP reached an astounding milestone with the competition of its 1,050th translation. With this translation, more than 5 billion viewings, seen in every country of the world, the JESUS film remains the most-translated movie of all time. The JESUS film is changing lives for eternity! According to research by Dawn Ministries, more than 750,000 new churches have been planted worldwide in the past ten years using the JESUS film.
