I am an advocate of sustainable building. I actively campaign for increased uptake of green building in the country through the Philippine Green Building Council, an alliance of business and industry leaders from both the private and public sectors that promotes sustainable building practices to the property industry.

Presently, I invite industry players to be part of the development of BERDE - Building Ecologically Responsive Design Excellence, the Philippines' green building rating system.

I co-founded Ecotektonika, Inc., a multidisciplinary sustainable consultancy firm focused on the development of sustainable designs and strategies for the built environment.

Before joining Ecotektonika, Inc., I worked independently as a Sustainable Built Environment Strategist with public and private organizations that promote sound sustainable practices to urban and rural settings. My technical expertise includes design, evaluation and project management of environmental management projects. I also conduct site assessments, evaluations and design preparation for the establishment of solid waste management facilities at the provincial, city, municipal and barangay levels in several regions in the Philippines. I assisted several environmental non-profit organizations in developing training sessions on environmental management and sustainable building.

I volunteer much of my free time to several professional organizations. I am an active member of the United Architects of the Philippines - Green Architecture Movement , a Lifetime member of the Solid Waste Management Association of the Philippines and I serve as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees and President of the Philippine Green Building Council.
