Kevin has worked in Museums and Attractions for over 30 years either on the inside or working for one of the premier complex Audio-Visual systems companies in the world. He is a keen technologist and advocate of business networking.
His first role was in the Department of Education & Science laboratories developing experiments in physics and electronics. He moved into the Audio-Visual business in 1977, leaving the DES lab and joining The Natural History Museum in London. Joining as a engineer he then took over a team developing Audio-Visual technology and exhibits as well as developing media shows and multimedia computer based games. Called the Special Effects Section, it worked closely with internal Museum designers at the cutting edge of exhibition design and technology.
In 1987, Kevin joined Electrosonic as a Product Manager. He went on to form the Leisure Division which works on Museum, Science and Heritage projects around the World. This model was replicated in the US and beyond, making Leisure & Entertainment an important part of the business and Group activities for Electrosonic.
Kevin continued in various capacities at Electrosonic including General Manager, Sales Director and Systems Director, and formed Electrosonic LLC in Dubai in 2007. In November 2007 he left to work as a freelance consultant in the Leisure and Entertainment market, and joined Event as Development Director in March 2008 to help develop stronger business ties around the world.
Kevin is a founder member of the TiLE (Trends in Leisure and Entertainment) conference committee, chaired the 2000 conference in London, as well as serving as European President for TEA - The Themed Entertainment Association.
Kevin has worked on over 500 projects of various sizes, with personal involvement in either a design, operations, project Director or business role.
