Having graduated as an organic chemist and a corrosion engineer, my initial career with Petrofina (now TOTAL) was spent as a business analyst in Belgium.
Thirty five years later my full time employment ended as President of Union Carbide Europe, Middle East and Africa headquartered in Geneva in 2001, when DOW acquired us.

Over that time frame I gathered experience in the following areas: Purchasing, Sales, Marketing, Business Management, Manufacturing Operations, M&A, Corporate Efficiency under the “Continuous Improvement and Growth” mantra. These roles involved living in Belgium, the USA, the UK and Switzerland (where we are domiciled today).

Since then my part time role as an “Independent Chemical Industry Advisor”, under the Euro Swiss Research (ESR) banner, has enabled me to specialise in searching for business opportunities for a portfolio of customers such as:
Deloitte in the UK and Belgium, Petrochem Carless in the UK, BAYER in Germany, pVelocity in the UK and Canada, and InfraLeuna in Germany.

I have been an organiser and a speaker at Chemical venues.
