Andrew KaretskyPresident, Skyview Ventures A specialist in solar and renewable energy financing, Andrew Karetsky created Skyview Ventures in 2008 to pursue investment opportunities in the renewable industry field. The firm focuses on several business lines: trading environmental attributes, investment in new energy companies, consulting, and financing new facilities. Andrew Karetsky and his firm are actively trading solar renewable energy certificates in Massachusetts and New Jersey. Karetsky has also financed the construction of a new solar plant in New Jersey, which Skyview Ventures now owns. Karetsky and Skyview Ventures have provided debt financing for several finished solar projects. The firm provided consulting services on projects in Michigan, Puerto Rico, New Mexico, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Notable projects Karetsky has been involved in include the negotiation of a contract with General Electric to build a solar carport in Connecticut. He is currently working on securing additional contracts with other Fortune 50 companies. Before launching Skyview Ventures, Andrew Karetsky spent three years as a private investor focused on thematic investing. A graduate of John Hopkins University, Andrew Karetsky began his finance career as an Equities Trader in the listed trading department at Alex. Brown & Sons in Baltimore, Maryland. He accepted a promotion to Vice President within three years, making him the youngest Vice President in the firm’s history. Andrew Karetsky left the firm to launch Tuscany Enterprises. At Tuscany Enterprises, Karetsky succeeded in purchasing a majority interest in the professional Australian baseball team the Melbourne Reds. He ran all team operations, including marketing, ticketing, and player recruiting. In 1997, Karetsky became a Partner with Camelot Capital in Greenwich, Connecticut, where he currently lives. |
