Dalal volunteered as a basketball coach for his son's teams at Irvine NJB, Rancho Middle School 7th graders, Fremont NJB, an art master for her daughter's 2nd graders. Dalal is the current secretary in the School Site Council and Treasurer of Turtle Rock PTA. Personal story: "I was born in Ahmedabad, Gujarat State, India in 1968. I came to the U.S. in 1987 after a great childhood in India along with my sister Situ. I started my undergrad at OU Norman, transferred to UT Austin after 1 year. I met my wife to be in Austin in 1989 (she was doing Accounting). I graduated from UT in 1992. I got married in 1993 - August 15 (which happens to be India's Independence Day - hey I lost my independence). I did my graduate school at ASU - Phoenix and Tempe. We have two kids growing up like weeds - 9 (daughter) and 14(son) year olds. After spending 10 years in Silicon Valley from 1997 to 2007, we moved to Irvine, CA to settle down for the next 10 years (at least). I became a U.S. Citizen in 2008 to vote for the first time, and enjoy the rights of a citizen! I am proud of my Indian tradition, roots and culture, and love the spirit of freedom, entrepreneurship and opportunity that U.S. offers." - 2009
