Discovering, discussing and practicing the fast growing field of IT Architecture is my prime professional passion and has been the common denominator in my career so far. Implementing the well known organizational pattern of an impartial yet skilled middleman in between the acquirer and the supplier can help overcome the organizational challenges the IT industry faces. It’s inspiring to notice that new approaches like TOGAF and ArchiMate are beginning to shape the field of IT Architecture, thus proving that theoretical improvements can indeed be turned into practice. The yearly dutch architecture contest "NK ICT Architectuur" aims to monitor the state of the profession. It's exiting yo see how the work of architects in IT increasingly has a concrete impact on the wide variety of businesses they support. After successfully completing my chemistry degree it took me a while to make the switch to IT. Somewhere inside, a scientist is still hidden. However, I since came to the conclusion that IT architecture is a fascinating profession too. Expect me to be curious, analytical and laser focused on unconventional results in the real world.
