Don BernardDon Bernard is a Montana-based international entrepreneur who owns and provides executive management for two adventure-oriented businesses in Argentina. Mr. Bernard is Chairman and Vice President of Estancia Laguna Verde in Southern Patagonia and co-owner of Golden Stag Safaris in La Pampa. Under Mr. Bernard’s leadership, both companies have generated millions of dollars in revenue. In addition to offering big game hunting and fly fishing opportunities to foreign travelers, Don Bernard supplies organically farmed rainbow trout to the Buenos Aires market and hopes to begin exports to the United States and Europe. Prior to beginning his business career, Don Bernard was an attorney in Texas. From the 1960s to the mid-1990s, Mr. Bernard spent 20 years as a Partner at Bernard & Bernard in Houston before opening his own private practice. Early in his career, Don Bernard served as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Texas and was a Briefing Attorney for the Supreme Court of Texas. Mr. Bernard finished his law career as an International Law Professor at the University of St. Thomas - Houston. Don Bernard earned his Master of Laws and Doctor of Jurisprudence from The University of Texas at Austin. During his professional career as a lawyer, Don Bernard was also a commissioned officer in the United States Navy. He spent nearly 20 years in the submarine service and retired with the rank of Commander. An experienced flyer, Don Bernard was an air show pilot for the Commemorative Air Force in Texas for almost a decade. He is a licensed commercial pilot and currently serves as a volunteer search pilot in Montana. |
