I have over 18 years of direct practitioner experience and consult on business investment decisions around the globe for new job creation projects within the private sector. I also consult with communities on how to become or increase their attractiveness for new site location project investments and create incentives that can increase their odds of winning new investment decisions. Every deal goes through a warranted investment model regarding risk, shareholder reward, market volatility and opportunity upside. Unless economic developers begin to understand this new paradigm they are not likely to fare well in this new hyper fast economy. I am a fun loving workaholic. It was once said "Don is always on and he is what he does for a living and what he does for a living is a statement of who he is." I am passionate that economic developers are called to a higher purpose and our goal should be to save humanity one community at a time. It is within this great professional association of individuals to do great things, but they need to be challenged to rise to their capabilities and true calling as Economic Developers. My goal is to raise the awareness of what needs to be done and get folks going about getting it done.
