Lapotaire, CIEC I am a Building Envelope & Indoor Environmental Consultant, specializing in Cause & Origin Forensic Water Intrusion Investigation and Building Envelope Failure for Commercial and Residential Contractors, as well as Building Diagnostic Indoor Environmental Mold & Odor Investigations, Building Defect Investigation Diagnosis & Solutions. An Environmental Consultant is a professional who can identify the causes of poor indoor air quality – even when problems seem vague or unrelated to visible causes. The Environmental Consultant is trained to see a building the way a general practitioner sees the body of his patient – as an organic whole with dozens of interrelated systems contributing to overall health. In order to diagnose the patient properly, the Consultant must be able to gather and interpret data from various systems operating in a building. For the past 8 I have dedicated myself to Isolating and identifying the source of building envelope failures and providing solutions for contractors and conducting building Indoor Air Quality IAQ, diagnostic inspections. IAQ problems can arise from moisture, insects, pets, appliances, materials used in household products, furnishings, building materials, smoke and other sources, all of which affect your indoor air quality and become a health concern. I can Isolate and Identify the source of IAQ Issues in Homes or Offices and provide a solution to IAQ concerns such as, Mold, Bacteria, Infectious Disease, MVOC’s (microbial volatile organic compounds), & VOC’s (volatile organic compounds). I have the knowledge and experience to conduct Cause and Origin Building Envelope Analysis - Investigations & Assessments, and Forensic Water Intrusion Investigations. I am proud of my ability to quickly find, diagnose and solve water intrusion problems in buildings that other architects, builders, developers and consultants could not find.
