Throughout his childhood, Mark Ghiglieri was consistently instilled with the values of charity and taking chances. Mark Ghiglieri’s father, the famous artist Lorenzo Ghiglieri, has donated hundreds of pieces of art to various charities for them to sell at a profit. Driven by an entrepreneurial ambition already proven by a previous successful business, Mark Ghiglieri established Provenance Fine Art. Through Provenance, Mark Ghiglieri provided fine art to charities for auction. The profits, then, were evenly divided between the charity and Provenance. Because the process costs the charity nothing, demand for Mark Ghiglieri’s services grew at an exponential rate. In under a year, the company had 172 employees and was participating in over 500 auctions around the country every month. Mark Ghiglieri sold between 700 and 1,000 sculptures in a given month; in order to facilitate the company’s continued growth, he partnered with Roger Pollock. Mark Ghiglieri later sold his share of the company to Roger Pollock. Ultimately, however, Mark Ghiglieri regained control of the company and eventually sold Provenance to David Orkney. Currently, Mark Ghiglieri is the CEO of Masterpiece Investments Corporation. Managing a national sales team that markets to customers around the world, Mark Ghiglieri uses his company to sell his family’s artwork. To date, Continuing in his tradition of philanthropy, Mark Ghiglieri has donated tens of millions of dollars to charities and non-profits. Having networked with most major non-profit organizations in the United States, Mark Ghiglieri is also a regular supporter of MDA, Make a Wish Foundation, Safari Club International, and the Red Cross, among other charities.
