Mike Schiller

Vice President of Technology, Epic Group Worldwide

I am Vice President of Technology for Epic Group Worldwide and Ultraviolet Promotions, and former assistant manager for Landsdown Entertainment. I have an expert level certification for Microsoft Office and experience with computer networking and systems administration. My background is the nightclub and special events industries, as well as fashion show production and movie industry special event production. In the mid 1990's I used to work in the clubs mostly supporting the managers and business operations. Since 2001, my role in the club business has been analyzing and utilizing internet technology for event coordination and promotional purposes. I help produce and promote red carpet movie premieres as well as fashion shows, photography and art exhibits, and other special events. Some of the movie premieres I've worked on include Live Free Or Die Hard, Michael Moore's Sicko, The Devil Wears Prada, Walk The Line, IRobot, Ice Age, and Phone Booth. I first entered the nightclub business working at the Limelight, Tunnel and Palladium nightclubs.My past companies include Landsdown Entertainment (the Limelight nightclub), HC Entertainment (The Tunnel nightclub), and Jemanda Entertainment (Palladium nightclub) and also Avalon/Spider Club. I have also worked as a promoter at such nightclubs as Lot 61, Expo, The Kit Kat Club, Sound Factory, Plaid, Show, Arena, Megu, Anju, The Madison, The Grand, Nell's, N/A, The Plumm, Home, Guest House, Pre:Post, Speeed, Deep, Carbon, Save The Robots, Aria and Mirage. In addition to working in the nightclub and special events businesses, I have been very active in the Democratic Party over the years, especially with Democracy For America which is the organization founded by Howard Dean to elect Democrats in all 50 states to all levels of government. The organization is currently chaired by Jim Dean, Howard Dean's brother. I write and publish my political articles in print and in various internet publications.
