Sarah PotemkinSVP, Client Business Partner, Universal McCann Sarah Potemkin is an SVP, Client Business Partner for Universal McCann, leading the digital media, strategy and analytics teams for the Verizon telecom (FiOS) account. Prior to working on these accounts, with Sarah's media oversight and later as the client/account relationship lead, UM drove the cross-media and analytics strategies that launched Microsoft's Bing search engine. Before coming to UM, Sarah spent nearly four years at Carat in San Francisco and Chicago, where she had lead digital media strategy on such clients as Discover Card, Kodak, Palm and TiVo. Prior to that, Sarah had several years of experience at Havas’ digital media agency, Media Contacts, developing online media programs for Wells Fargo and Barclays Global Investors, and leading the global advisory board for Media Contacts’ proprietary analytics tool. Sarah was also one of the architects of what has become the DoubleClick MediaVisor online campaign management system. Since starting her career in advertising, Sarah has been a champion of transforming data into strategic learning and direction for her clients. In 2006, OMMA Magazine named her a “Rising Star” for being in the vanguard of digital media experts working in the industry. Sarah earned her degree in English Literature at Kenyon College and University of Exeter, with a focus on literary theory and forgery. She broke into advertising as a direct mail list broker in Silicon Valley.
