Shonali Burke

I am an award-winning, accredited (ABC) communications consultant with may years (believe me, MANY) in the communications field. My wide range of experience includes strategy development, implementation and evaluation, client relations, crisis communications, internal communications, extensive media relations, Web 2.0 and social media, event management and marketing. I'm proud to have been named one of the top "40 Under 40" public relations professionals in the United States by PRWeek in 2007. Educated as an economist, I trained to be an actress but concentrated on building a career as a professional communicator once I relocated to the United States from India. A self-confessed animal "nut," I currently live and work in the Washington, D.C., area with my husband John, and three rescued dogs (Chuck, Suzy Q. and Lola).
