Professional Summary

I started DDM Services in 2003 after 23 years in the design and development of ATMs starting as a design engineer and worked my way through the ranks to Project Manager in charge of various developments. Initially qualified as a production engineer, and completed masters courses in Plastics and Project Management. I was also trained in Acoustics and was NCR's acoustic speacilist for a number of years.
DDM Services is now a successful Design and Prototype manufacturing establishment.

Product design Company developing products from concept through to realisation, including full design and specification, prototype, build, test and early production.
DDM Services operates from a 3,000+ square foot building in Dundee providing design and management services to a wide range of companies from the beauty industry through small DIY tools to large electomechanical products to plant & Machinery and also the Oil Industry. 2009 has seen significant company growth, particularly in the prototype assembly and test.

Main recognition project - As project leader, technical expert for New Polycarbonate Currency Cassette in1986-87 which realised a 20x reliability improvement with a 50% cost reduction and 80% reduction in assembly time. Designed for robotic assembly.

Design consultant for various development projects including first ATM Sidecar Unit, Finger recognition, IRIS Scan, etc. as well as being Plastics and Accoustics expert for NCR Dundee.

Research Consultant at NCR's Advanced Mechatronics Research Centre based in Dundee University, involved in Note Recognition, and usable qualitities, stamp development for ATM dispensing, Intelligent Security, etc. etc.

Consutant for Plastics and also project leader for various developments, including Fascia for 5675 ATM which was the largest mouling produced at approx 8 Kgs and tool was over 6 Tons. Was responsible for the preparation for the changeover to Euros in Europe.

Project Manager for Fluiditi Division within NCR
A 4 man group responsible for the implementation of Integrated Cash Security (Ink Staining within the ATM if attacked) and the associated attack sensing systems.
