As an educator and administrator, Allison Staffin helps teachers and students achieve higher standards of academic excellence. Currently serving as the Assistant Principal of Cherry Hill High School West, Allison Staffin coordinates a myriad of educational and developmental programs. Charged with overseeing the design and implementation of the school’s curriculum, Ms. Staffin works with educators to provide feedback and performance evaluations concerning teaching methods and classroom environments. She also organizes and heads a host of department meetings and committees that set agendas, establish classroom standards, and resolve conflicts.

In addition to advising and mentoring students regarding courses and schedules, Allison Staffin maintains the student eligibility list and serves as the budget coordinator for all Title I federal grant funding. She recently designed a student enrichment program called the Summer Transition Academy. Implemented in 2010, the Summer Transition Academy has successfully helped students improve their grades in math and English. Outside of her work at Cherry Hill High School West, Allison Staffin maintains close professional relationships with her colleagues and counterparts within the school district.

Prior to assuming her role as Assistant Principal, Allison Staffin taught students across a variety of academic levels. As a Secondary Social Studies Teacher, she helped develop curriculums for U.S. history, world civilizations, and various social issues. The recipient of the Arthur and Rochelle Belfer National Conference Scholarship and the New Jersey Best Practices Award for Equity and Diversity, Ms. Staffin also accepted the Aaron A. Flanzbaum 21st Century Democratic Heritage Award in 2004 for designing a course titled Racism: The Politics of Hatred. Currently holding professional certifications in secondary and elementary education, Allison Staffin is also a member of the National Council of Teachers of English, the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, International Reading Association, and the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development.
