Scam Stop is a Non Profit organisation dedicated to preventing scams and fraud through creating awareness of scams and frauds, disseminating information on scams and frauds and providing education and training to our community to enable them to stay safe.
The primary mission of Scam Stop is the provision of education, information and advice to the community to empower them to protect themselves.
Members of the Scam Stop networks contribute to the safety and security of us all through participation on our forum and through participation in our community networks.
Scams, schemes and fraud are part of our everyday lives. We may not always be aware when something we are dealing with is a scam or fraud and Scam Stop is here to rectify that.
These scams run the whole gamut from Advance Fee (419) scams, to bogus job offers to work in other countries, too buy or sell schemes, false lottery winnings, phishing e mails or web sites; the list of current, possible or potential scams is endless.
The damage that these scams cause is enormous and they normally target people who are desperate, who are looking for a solution to their financial crises and who are very vulnerable to these predators, this situation is bound to get worse as the current financial situation has a detrimental effect on us all.
Scam Stop has a very strong community focus and we operate a community education and training program in line with our goal of adding value to the communities we serve. Scam Stop has a local and international network of experts ready to assist members with whatever problem they may have.
