Futur3 is a start-up company deploying Wireless Mesh Metropolitan Area Network in Trentino (Italy) and developing innovative service for its customers.Futur3 is partially founded by the Province of Trento for a 3 years research project callled LUNA (Large Unwired Network Application).
I am in charge of leading the service development team that is currently composed by four employees. The services that will be developed and offered within the Futur3 Wi-Fi network will range from Wi-Fi location based and context aware services to network monitoring tools and authentication systems.

I have been part of the pervasive computing group, working on prototyping development, mobile P2P services, Wireless Sensor Networks, opportunistic networking. In particular I have been working on middleware development for mobile devices within the BIONETS framework and on its application to non conventional marketing or other scenarios. During this period I have published around 15 oringal research papers and I have 2 patents pending (1 EU, 1 in Germany).
Furthermore, I have been working with main European telecommunication companies (Nokia, Siemens, Sun) and Universities (ETHZ, LSE,...) in the context of european projects or ad-hoc collaborations.
EU project proposals preparation and international conference organization (I am still in the steering committe of BodyNets international conference) have been also important activities during my experience at Create-Net.
