Professional Summary
I'm an independent communications, PR, public affairs and developmental marketing consultant active in Italy.
I grew up in a pragmatic, active and progressive environment in Madison, Wisconsin, studying and working in party politics. Near the end of my university studies I flew to Bologna to learn Italian and am still here. But I have not lost touch with my roots. If you need to bridge the gap between the United States and Italy, I can help.
Since earning my Masters Degree in Business Communications (Master in Comuncazione d'Azienda) from the University of Venice (Italy) in 1992, I have been working in Italian-based, but often international consulting roles. I worked in human resources, training and business organization, until 1997, when I shifted emphasis to global communications, working with international public relations firms like Ketchum, Brodeur and MS&L.
I am currently an independent consultant working mainly in public relations, public affairs, institutional marketing, local development support, and territorial marketing. I also support small, growing businesses in the search for international partners.
Although, I reside in L'Aquila, Italy, (despite the recent Earthquake it is still my official home) Rome is my gateway as I work in an ever more global context.
Specialties:
Public affairs (including parliamentary relations), public relations, territorial marketing, new business development support, investor scouting, strategic and institutional communications, internal communications, business networking support, adaptation of US communications strategies, campaigns, messages and tools to the Italian market and vice versa.
