I started in 2004 as a researcher, took over as team leader in 2006 and then Deputy Editor in November 2007. As Deputy Editor, my responsibilities include the following:
-Carrying out in-depth research of the legal market across Latin America and also in individual countries with clients, lawyers and other sources.
-Compiling editorial commentary that reflects the prevailing opinion of the market which forms the foundations of the ranking tables of the world’s leading corporate law firms and lawyers.
-Editing the supporting content and approving the final editorial for the printed directory and its online version.
-Advising on the strategic planning for the timely delivery of the publication.
-Managing a team of researchers who carry out analysis of the legal market in Latin America and to a lesser extent, North America and Europe.
-Management responsibilities include mentoring and training the researchers and scheduling the yearly research plan, monitoring its progress on individual basis, ensuring delivery according to deadlines.
-Handling research queries from law firms and clients.
-Handling queries from specialised media outlets in Latin America and Europe.
-Collaborating with the business development and media teams in the company’s strategic marketing and promotional activities.
-Setting up, organizing and hosting events related to the directory, including book launch and awards ceremonies.
